Another Fil-Am has made it to the American Idol semis

Jose "Sway" Penala , born to Filipino parents, is one of the top 24 qualifiers of the most frenzied talent search in the US. I did'nt really get to see his audition clips in the qualifying rounds but I bet he has an awesome talent. A former member of the group "Drop'n Harmony", i believe he was just recently here with his new group 6th day. He's a shoo-in for the top 12, i'm sure. With the whole Filipino community all over America voting for him, we will surely catch him at the finals.. Ano kaya kung kumanta sya ng tagalog song? "Pinoy ako" by Bamboo? hehehe

....Local chanteusse Carol Banawa also auditioned for this season, though unfortunately failed to make the cut.It's such a shame because Carol's voice would have been breath of fresh air amidst all the screamers and rifters we'd be hearing from the coming episodes.

17 year old Paris Benett has this precocious tone to her voice, and her musicality is just unbelievable..

This girl is what I would refer to as "halimaw" when it comes to singing

Taylor Hicks on the other hand, I find weird..but not in a bad way though. Obviuosly he's a deadringer for Jay Leno because of his bounty of grey hair, but the guy sings like Joe Cocker..and spasms like Ray Charles when belting out..hehe weird.. but astig.

So who's going to be the next American Idol?...
